GUILFORD - Fern Snowden Robinson, 93, passed away unexpectedly Oct. 27, 2009, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft.

She was born July 26, 1916, in Guilford, the daughter of Augustus and Lula (Hatch) Ronco. Fern lived her entire life in Guilford and was an active member of several ladies organizations of that town. She devoted her entire life to her family and especially enjoyed her time at Whetstone Pond. She was a woman of great stature who will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husbands, James C. Snowden and Al Robinson.

She is survived by two sons, Craig A. Snowden of Whetstone Pond and Chris Snowden of Boston; two daughters, Brenda Brawn of Exeter and Veronica Sweetser of Florida; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford, with Pastor Stephen Dean officiating. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Burial will be at Lawn Cemetery.
