SALLIE GETTYS BURGIN on the property of her son, CHARLES BURNICE, near Spencer Baptist Church on Oak Street, Spindale, North Carolina. The precise dating of this photograph is difficult, but given the location of the shot, it's most likely between 1945 and 1949.
