VIRGINIA BEACH - Alene Faye Branscome Wilson of the 1800 block of Perrel St. went to be with her Lord July 28, 2005. Born July 25, 1936, in Carroll, Va., she was the daughter of the late Willie and Clara Branscome. She was a member of Liberty Bible Church and loved to quilt.

Left to cherish her loving memory are her husband of 14 years, Merton C. Wilson; her three daughters, Belinda Adamski and her husband Terry of Florida, Lesa Hayes and her husband Rich of Florida and Mary Ann Shepard "Sam" of Virginia Beach; four brothers, Clinton Branscome of Richmond, Roby Branscome of Newark, Del., and Willie Cadell Branscome of Axton, Va.; three sisters, Estelle Howell of Richmond, Va., Almeda and Betty Branscome, both of Dugspur, Va., and Dot Adkins of Collinsville, Va.; and six grandchildren, Katie, John, Jessie, Tiffany, Kayla and Cameron.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. The funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Hillis officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
