The funeral of Mrs. Catharine Ehlers occurred Thursday from the home of her daughter Mrs. James Hirshey six miles northeast of the city. Interment was made in the Wiegert cemetery. Mrs. Ehlers had been sick for the past two years. She leaves to mourn her death a devoted husband, a son, Will Ehlers, and a daughter, Mrs. Gusta Hirshey. Two sons preceded her in death about fifteen years ago. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved.

Mrs. Catharine Ehlers died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Hershey, five and a half miles north of the city, at the age of 68 years. The deceased has been sick for the past ten months. The cause of her death was heart failure. She is one of the old residents in that vicinity and was well known. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon from her late residence and interment will be made in the St. Johns cemetery.
