Mary Sue CUPPLES BEENE Mary Sue Cupples Beene, age 75, died Sunday, April 18, 2004, at the Chester County Healthcare. Mrs. Beene was born September 20, 1928, and reared in the Montezuma Community of Chester County and had lived in the Montezuma Community all of her life. She was the daughter of the late William Chester "Chet" and Leora MORRISON CUPPLES. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1946 and in 1947 was married to Horace Crandall BEENE. They farmed in the Montezuma Community all of their married life. Mr Beene died in 1984. She continued to be active in the farming business with her two sons until three years ago. Mrs Beene was a very active member of the Chester County Farm Bureau and had served as a director in the Farm Bureau. She was also a member of the Montezuma Community Club and the Henderson Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, Anthony Beene and wife Deidra and Sammy Beene and wife Lisa, all of Henderson and a daughter Ann Vernon and husband Bill of St Louis MO. She has five grandchildren; Chris Vernon, Mary Ann Griffith, Alex Beene, Jacob Beene and Lauren Beene; two great-grandchildren, Katie and Jack Griffith. Funeral services at Casey Funeral Home with Jack Hillard, Billy Smith and Howard Russom officiating and burial in the New Montezuma Cemetery.
