Lois A. Backerman, 84, of Cedar Falls died Oct. 16, 1999 at her home. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls.
Mrs. Backerman was born Oct. 14, 1915, in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Charles and Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Peterson) Wiltse. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1933.
She married Harvey R. Backerman Dec. 12, 1936 in Galena, Ill.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Barbara Lindholm of Cedar Falls and Ellen Steuk of Ida Grove; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a special friend, Rose Silverson of Seminole, Fla.
