Funeral To Be Held At 2 p.m. Saturday At Immanuel Lutheran
Death Tuesday claimed Tobias S. Anderson, 79, of Luverne at his home, following a lingering illness of two years duration.
Funeral services will be held at the Smith Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran church Saturday, Rev. L.P. Lund officiating. Interment will be in the Norwegian Lutheran cemetery, north of Luverne. Pallbearers will be six nephews, Arthur Anderson, Selmer Anderson, Selmer Hoiland, Obert Hoiland, Sidney Blinsmon and John Jensen.
Born in Konsmo, Norway, May 15, 1867, Mr. Anderson came to the United States in 1884, and settled in Rock County. He was a farmer all his life, living southwest of Luverne until March 1943, when he retired and moved to this city.
He was married to Anna Aanenson February 22, 1894, and was preceded in death by her in 1900. He married Alvina Smith in Luverne on October 10, 1921, and is survived by her, a daughter, Margaret and son, Toby Jr. of Luverne and a son, Leon, at Corpus Christi, Texas. Three children in death. Also surviving him are one brother, A.H. Anderson, of Luverne, and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Blinsmon, and Mrs. Ole Hoiland, both of Luverne.
