Lucy was born February 22, 1918 in Cleveland, OH, daughter of the late Paul Dabrowski and Eleonor (Grzyjka) Dabrowski, she lived most of her life in New Britain and was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Ladies Guild.
Lucy was employed by Lifshutz Department Store for over 25 years. Lucy enjoyed traveling with her husband Joseph, cooking, gardening, arts and crafts, and floral arranging.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she leaves her son Joseph F. Abramczyk, of Plantsville, her daughter Mary Ann Provost and her husband Kenneth of Plainville; her brother Stanley Dabrowski of New Britain, six grandchildren Joseph M. Abramczyk, Denise Marshall, Peter Abramczyk and his wife Tracy, Jennifer Provost, Jeffrey Abramczyk and Kenneth J. Provost, five great grandchildren Shane, Renn, Jason, Zachary and Kate, several nieces and nephews including a special nephew Michael Posten and his wife Tina of Burlington and many dear sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Eugene, Bruno, and Benjamin Dabrowski and two sisters Eleanor Pilarski and Adele Posten.
Lucy's Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 8:30 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt Street, New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
