After moving to the US as a child, he graduated from New Britain High School. He served in the US Army Military Police during WWII and was a member of General Patton's Color Guard. He had attained the rank of sergeant when he retired from military active duty. He was employed by Emhart Corp for 42 years retiring in 1984, was a lifelong resident of New Britain, and was a member of Holy Cross Church.

He was predeceased by his parents, Pawel and Eleonora Dabrowski; brothers Eugene and Bruno Dabrowski; and sister Eleanor Dabrowski Pilarski. He was survived by his wife; a son and daughter-in-law; his daughter and son-in-law; four grandchildren; his brother Stanley Dabrowski; two sisters, Lucy Abramczyk and Adele Posten; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 and a funeral service was held on Thursday, August 5, 2004, at Burritt Hill Funeral Home, New Britain, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church. Burial, with military honors, will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
