Lora Aleyene Vines was born December 11, 1917 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Lora Archillerous & Commilete Stalcup Petty. She departed this life Friday October 9, 2009 in Depew, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years 9 months, and 28 days.
She had been a resident of Depew since she was two years old. She graduated from Depew in 1935. She married Ralph Vines in 1935 and they enjoyed many years together until his passing in 1952. She was a member of the Pentecostal Grace Assembly Church in Depew. She enjoyed playing the piano, playing dominos, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by four grandchildren: Ralph Johns and his wife, Laurie, of Depew, and Tim Johns and his wife, Diane, of Lafayette, Indiana, L. Marcy Lenzen of Depew and Michael Vines and wife T.J. of Leander, Texas; Nine great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph Vines, daughter, Sharon Kay Johns, son, Thomas Ralph Vines, sister, Jaquita, brother, Troy Cox, and daughter in law, Phyllis.
Funeral Services will be 2pm, Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at the Church of God in Depew with Reverend Delbert Hinshaw & Reverend Marcy Lenzen officiating. Interment will follow in Bristow City Cemetery.
