Sarah Caroline Goates Jennings was the daughter of Leonard Jackson "Shorty" Goates and Nancy Eley "Ela" Rowland. She was buried on September 23, 1979. On Page 103 of the Pope County, Arkansas History Volume I, she is listed as attending Price Grove School taught by Alan Price in 1912. Her husband, Edgar David Jennings, also attended the same school in 1912. She married Edgar David Jennings on July 23, 1916 in Scottsville, Pope, Arkansas ( Book "A" Page 48 Pope County, Arkansas. Ceremony performed by E. B. Greener, MG. H. V. Sewell, County Clerk ).
