MARY C. LOVEJOY (Married first to Mr. Bugbee)
STATE BRIDGE, Sept. 13 - Mrs. Mary C. Lovejoy, died on Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Defrees, after a lingering illness. She was born in Higginsville 67 years ago, but the most of her married life was spent in Brookfield. She was twice married, her first husband having been Mr. Bugbee of Brookfield. The second husband, Mr. Lovejoy, died less that a year ago. She is survived by three daughters and three sons, Mrs. Arthur Meyers of Vernon, Mrs. Henry Weaver of Oneida, Mrs. John Defrees of State Bridge, Alvin Bugbee of Binghamton, Melvin of Brookfield and Hollis of Oneida. Funeral services were held privately at the Defrees home on Saturday at 2 p.m., with interment in Grove Cemetery.
