Morris Chapman, 87, retired Oronoco and Pine Island area farmer, died Friday, June 9.
Chapman was born July 27, 1884, in Wabasha County and married the former Minnie Gorman on September Z2, 1904, in Wabasha. She died in 1951. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dennie (May) Ri ch of Inver Grove Heights, and Mrs. Archie (Myrtle) Parkin of Dodge Center; a son, Raymoad of Oronoco; 7 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Charlie of Faribault, and Roy of California. Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m Tuesday at the Mahler Funeral Home, Pine Island, with the Rev. David Achterkirch of the United Methodist church officiating. Interment was in the Oronoco Cemetery.w
