"John F. Moherman, aged 63, died at 11:30 am Monday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Donald Carnes near Mineral Ridge after an illness of several months. A retired farmer, Mr. Moherman was born March 15, 1878, in Jackson township, and on Jan. 15, 1896 married Della Stroup, who died 10 months ago. He was a life long member of the North Jackson Reformed church and had been an Elder of the church for many years. Surviving are a son, Robert, of this place and two daughters, Mrs. Donald Carnes, Mineral Ridge, and Mrs. Ray Payne of Ashtabula, along with five grandchildren and two brothers, Reuben of North Jackson and Rolla, of Warren. Funeral services were held at the Federated church Wednesday [29th] at 2pm, with burial in the village cemetery."
