John Seipel Summoned During Friday Services
Chilton: John Seipel 68, passed away suddently in his pew at St. Marys church here during Good Friday services at 12:05 noon
Funeral services will be held Tuesday in the morning at the Pfeffer Funeral home and at St. Marys church. Officiating will be the Reverends Francis Heimann, Alfred Schneider and Joseph Baltelme. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Seipel who had been in fine health, was born on March 14, 1878, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Seipel. He attended the Rantoul Public schools at Calvary. A retied farmer, he has spent the last two years with his daughter in Chilton. In 1940 his wife, the former Rose Heimann, left him a widower, he had married her in October of 1902 at St. Martins church in Charlestown.
He was a member of Holy Name society, St. Josephs society, and the Catholic Order of Foresters.
Surviving are five children, Mrs. William Stein of Charlestown; Norbert, Edwin and Mrs. Reuben Paul of Chilton; and Herman on the homestead, eight grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and Nicholas of California; and three sisters, Mrs. Anton Mueller of California; Mrs. Margaret Schneider of Chilton, and Mrs. Fred Velt of Appleton. Pallbearers will be nephews.
