Andrew was the oldest child of Willian Wright (b.1806) and Elizabeth (Bushong) Wright (1811-1889).
He was a CSA veteran, having served in Co. E, 12th VA Cavalry, CSA.S
Andrew married Adaline Copp on December 26, 1866 in Toms Brook, Shenandoah, Virginia.
They were the parents of ten childeren:
Annie Laurie (Wright) Free (b. 1868), Carrie (Wright) Allen (b. 1869), Rush Lee Wright (1871-1956), Lizzie (Wright) Goode (b. 1873), Katherine (Wright) Weedon (1876-1966), Susan (Wright) Hinegardner, Rosa (Wright) McCarthy (1877-1962), George Milton Wright (1878-1953), Maggie (Wright) Cooke (b. 1881), Sallie (Wright) Lipscomb (b. 1883).
In the mid 1880's Andrew and Addie moved with their children to "Cherry Hill" in Bristow, Prince William County, just outside of Manassas on State Highway 28.
