Joseph Edward Peterson, age 38, died Tuesday, June 4th in a Veterans Hospital at Memphis after a long illness. He had spent most of the time since World War II in hospitals. He is the son of Mrs. Ora Peterson and the late Marvin Peterson, was born and reared near here. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Adcock Peterson, one brother, Lemoyne Peterson of Little Rock, one sister, Mrs. Robert Banks and his mother, Mrs. Ora Peterson, also two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral service will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the New Hoppe Baptist Church by Rev. Morris Roe.
Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Cornwell Funeral Service.
