Alda Fay Ganske, 73, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, in Wharton. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral home. Burial follows in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 29, at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 28, 1935 in Damon to James and Marie Sims. Alda was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the VFW.
Alda was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Mildred Yancey, Florence Welche, Ona Mae Shoaf, and Evelyn Kelso; and two brothers, Daniel Sims and Walter “Humpy” Sims.
She is survived by her husband, Theodore Leo Ganske Jr.; twin sister, Ray Dean and husband, Joe; brother, Roy Sims and wife, Lydia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
