HOULTON - Barry W. Clark, 56, died unexpectedly Oct. 19, 2009, as the result of an auto accident. He was born June 6, 1953, in Houlton, son of Vinel and Thelma (Sproul) Clark. Barry worked as a carpenter weatherization specialist for 28 years for ACAP. He was a member of Houlton Lodge of Elks, where he enjoyed bowling. He and his family worked with Houlton Fair Association for 13 years. Barry was a great Red Sox fan, and enjoyed spending time at camp and hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was his wife and best friend, Cheryl; and his first grandchild, Riley Anne.
Barry is survived by his mother, Thelma Fowler and her husband, Randy, of Houlton; his wife, Cheryl (Fredericks) Clark of Houlton; son, Andy Clark of Houlton; daughter, Heather Clark and her daughter, Riley Anne, both of Brewer; two brothers, Gordon Clark of Berwick and Mike Clark of Naples, Fla.; three sisters, Christine Stevens of Berwick, Sherry Hardy of Houlton and Pam Prosser of Littleton; mother-in-law, Brenda Fredericks; sisters-in-law, Cindy Schools, Suzie Adams, Tammy McGary, Cathy Williams and Lisa Krahn; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Vinel; and his father-in-law, Ken Fredericks. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Houlton Wesleyan Church, where friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. (Bangor Daily News 10/21/2009)
