Obituary: Iberia Sentinel, 1936

George Paris Wall, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Wall, was born in the state of Virginia, on January 2, 1857. He passed away at the Latham hospital in California, MO., Sunday, August 2, 1936, being at the time of his death 79 years and 7 months old. He came to Missouri when a very small lad with his parents, who settled on a farm near Brumley in which community he lived all his life. His going is the last one of the James Wall family. He spent the largest part of his life on the farm with his brother Crocket, who preceded him in death about 4 years ago.

He had five brothers and one sister, namely: William, who died in 1919, James, who died in 1915, Henry, who died in 1916, Crockett, who died in 1932, Floyd, who died in 1926, Daniel who died in 1933, and Fannie Plemmons, who died in 1934.

Mr. Wall leaves to cherish his memory, 18 nieces and 10 nephews, many of whom are present today. He was a director of the Bank of Brumley in which capacity he served for many years.

He united with the Baptist Church at Brumley several years ago in which church he kept his membership. He was a good man, well respected by everyone who knew him.
