Nellie E. Brinkman Dupree - a 102 year-old native of Union Church, AL, born on October 30, 1906, and a resident of Mobile for 56 years died October 18, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Dupree; parents, Henry Martin Brinkman and Mary Kryger Brinkman; and three brothers, William Harris Brinkman, Vernon Shelton Brinkman, and Mannie Fort Brinkman, Sr. Mrs. Dupree is survived by a sister, Rosalie Brinkman McGovern; nephew, Mannie F. Brinkman, Jr. (Louise); niece, Mary B. Day (John); five grandchildren, Joe Dupree, C.E. Dupree, Mary Law, Barbara Steles, and Patricia Dupree; dear friend, Dorothy Biggers and family; other relatives & friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Wednesday, October 21, 2009. at 12 noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 20 from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
