Marie A. Biondi Skelton, 67, of Newark, Del., passed away on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington, Del.
Born in Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Biondi Sr. and Rose Perrotti Biondi.
Marie was a paraprofessional for the State of Delaware in Wilmington, Del., for 12 years, retiring in 2006.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena in Wilmington, Del.
Marie volunteered at the Jesus House.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by a son, Gregory Skelton and his wife, Shannon, of Odessa, Del.; two brothers, Joseph Biondi Jr. of Newark, Del., and Anthony Biondi of Allentown; and by three grandchildren, Emily, Mackenzie and Hunter.
You are invited to visit with Marie's family and friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike (Route 41), Avondale.
Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Kennett Square.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marie's memory to the Delaware SPCA, 455 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark, DE 19713.
