Mrs. Harmon's Rites Held at Houlka
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Lydia Tallent Harmon, age 70, at 2 pm, July 17, from the Houlka Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Jim Phillips and Rev. Robert Lambert officiated, with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased.
Mrs. Harmon died on Wednesday, July 16, at the North Miss. Medical Center. She was the wife of Calvin Harmon of Houlka and was born in Calhoun County August 3 1904. She was a member of the Houlka United Methodist Church.
Those surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Wilburn Harmon of Houlka and James Earl Harmon of Muskogee, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Houge of Grand Prairie, Tx., Mrs. Maybelle Marks of Memphis, and Mrs. Jeanette Wiggs of Houlka. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Lou Funderburk of Oxford, 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
