Arthur G. Frank passed away on August 26, 2004 at the age of 82 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Art was born in Fort Stockton, Texas on April 15, 1922. He moved to Madera, CA. 75 years ago with his father and 7 siblings. He graduated from Madera High School in 1940. He served in the Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star and various other awards and medals. Art was also very active in the VFW and was a life member, along with a life member of the Disabled Veterans.
Art retired from Canadaguia(United Vintners). He enjoyed woodcutting, fishing, taking care of his oranges and flowers, and spending time in the mountains. His lifetime hobby was woodworking and sharing his efforts and talents with other people.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mildred, his daughters Barbara Nix and her husband Larry, Katie Arnold and her husband Greg and Maribeth Horton and her husband Paul. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters Minnie Mahrt, Alvina Alles and his brother Rudy Frank and his wife Shirley.
