Veral was the wife of Henry Blakeman, Son of Henry V. and Alice (Hudson) Blakeman. Her husband, Henry, died in 1942. Veral's parents were William & Mary (Davis) Ellington. According to information given to me by another "Find A Grave" contributor, Cindy McCachern, her obituary reads: "Veral I. Blakeman, 83, Martinsville, died at 7 p.m. Jan. 8, 1987 at Union Hospital, Terre Haute. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville, with the Rev. George Nika officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery, south of Martinsville. She was born Nov. 18, 1903 in Martinsville to William and Mary Davis Ellington. She was married to Henry Blakeman. He died in 1942. She was a retired cook. Surviving are a son, Frankie Of Martinsville; and a brother, Zelna Ellington of Charleston."
