COOK At Woodville, on March 14th, Elizabeth, beloved wife of W. Cook; aged 79 years.
We regret to have to record the death of Mrs Elizabeth Cook, wife of Mr W. Cook, of Woodville. The deceased lady scratched her thumb about a week ago, blood poisoning set in and she passed away late last night at her residence in McLean street.
Mrs Cook arrived at Napier with her husband in 1872 and has been a resident of Woodville for the last 23 years. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Messrs A. W. and C. Cook of Ashley Clinton, farmers and three daughters, Mesdames McNeil and Lehudorf of Woodville and Mrs L. Langham, Wanganui. She was of a most kindly disposition, beloved by all who knew her and the sympathy of a wide circle of friends will go out to the family in their sad loss. The funeral will leave the residence of Mr W. Cook, McLean street, at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.
