Mr. Arthur Walton Nichols-A native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Daphne, AL, died Friday, January 1, 1999 in a Fairhope hospital. He was retired from Engineered Textile Products of Mobile as Plant Operation Manager. He was a veteran of World War II, served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army with invasions over several European Countries. He was a former member of a mystic society and a member of the Knights of Columbus and Christ The King Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Wahl Nichols. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sandra (John) Ruff of San Diego, CA, and Mrs. Kay L. (Bert) Clark of Mobile, AL; two sisters Mrs. Catherine (Leon) Price of Chickasaw, AL and Mrs. Ernestine (Charles) Kostmayer of Mobile, AL; two brothers,, Ernest Florian Nichols of Hueytown, AL and Cecil E. Nichols of St. Martinville, LA; five grandsons, David N. (Blanche) Luckie of Mobile, AL, Carter B. (Sandy) Luckie of Daphne, AL, John C. (Lisa) Ruff of Frisco, TX, Stuart Y. (Marcia) Luckie of Mobile, AL and Coire Ruff of Hartford, Connecticut; eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 4, 1999 at. 10:00 A.M. in Pine Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 3, 1999 from 5 until 8 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway. Interment in Pine Crest Cemetery.
