Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Sundet, 77, of New Rockford, ND we conducted on Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Viking Lutheran Church with Pastor F. E. Olderr officiating. Interment was in the Viking Cemetery. Mrs. Sundet, a resident of this area for most of her life, died on Thursday at the Maddock Hospital following a lingering illness. Pallbearers were Harley Sundet, Ivan Sundet, Randell Bergsgaard, Lawrence Bergsgaard, Kermit Bergsgaard and Carl Nelson. Cecelia was born in Norway on 10 May 1883 to parents Mr. and Mrs. Lars Bergsgaard, came with her parents to the United States to Spring Grove, MN when she was three years old. In 1889 they moved to the Maddock vicinity. The former Cecelia Bergsgaard was married to Albert Sundet on 30 Aug 1905. She and her husband farmed until 1949 when they retired and moved to New Rockford, ND. Besides her husband she leaves ten children: Alvin Sundet, Oscar Sundet, Carl Sundet, Ann Mrs. A. W. Christianson all of Maddock, Constance Mrs. Kermit Nestegard of Minot, Inga Mrs. Adolph Hovland of Perley, MN, Lloyd Sundet of Leavenworth, Kansas, William Sundet of Lakeview, OR and Clarence Sundet of Brooks, OR. Also 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive. A sister, Laura, Mrs. Helmer Sundet of Williston, ND and a brother, Otto Bergsgaard also survive.
