WINNFIELD — Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia S. Thomas, 83, of Winnfield were held at 2 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church of Winnfield with the Rev. W. R. Gage officiating.
Burial was in Winnfield City Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Mrs. Thomas died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday in Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria after a lengthy illness.
A native of Grant Parish, Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Prebyterian church.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Thomas of Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Joe Bevill of Winnfield; one brother, L. M. Smith of Verda; and six grandchildren.
