Mr. Thomas died at his residence in Pineville on Wednesday, June 26 after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 9, 1930 in Atlanta, Louisiana and was a 1948 graduate of Winnfield High School and attended LSU. He retired from Louisiana Intrastate Gas Company, Sunland Construction, and was past owner of The Trophy Shoppe in Columbia, La.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou McCloy Thomas, parents K. A. Thomas and Virginia Smith Thomas, and his brother Arthur "Buddy" Thomas.
He is survived by 2 sons, Mack Thomas of Haughton, Cagle Thomas of Vidalia, two daughters, Debbie Malone of Pineville, and Dawn Estis of Haughton; grandchildren Kimberly Thomas, David Malone, Dustin Estis, Ryan Thomas, Haylee Malone, Will Thomas and Julie Thomas, and one sister Ruth Thomas Beville of Winnfield.
Pallbearers were his grandchildren.
