He was born Feb. 8, 1913, in Brainerd to David and Mintie Wadsworth. He married Florence Roberts in 1933 until 1956 and then married Delores Stropp. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brainerd. He retired from the Northern Pacific-Burlington Northern Railroad in 1978.
Survivors include three daughters, Myrna Kahler, Raytown, Mo., Shirley Jones, Waynesville, Ohio, and Debbi Furrie, Deltona, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Jan Pegel, Baxter, and Verna Mitchell, Hutchinson; a stepson, Gaylan Pegel, San Antonio; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo, Gladstone, Ore.; and a sister, Donna Specht, Reno, Nev.
His wife; his former wife; a daughter, Elaine; a son, Darrold Dean; three brothers, Donald (twin), and Earl and Alle; and three sisters, Hazel, Leila and an infant, Marjorie, died earlier.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Brainerd Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Bob Brauer officiating. Burial will be in Baxter City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and an hour before services Friday at the church.
