Adaleene T. Houser, 82, of Shippensburg, formerly of Lewistown, died yesterday at Chester County Hospital, West Chester, after an apparent heart attack. She was the widow of J. Lester Houser.
Mrs Houser was born in Milroy, Miflin County, a daughter of the late James and Martha Masterson Treaster. She was a graduate of BLoomsburg State Normal School and had taught for many years in rural schools in Miflin County. SHe was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Shippensburg, the Friendship Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Church Women. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Organization of Shippensburg.
Mrs Houser is survived by two sons, two daughters, 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Christ United Methodist Church at Shippensburg.
