Leslie T. Brady was born on December 6, 1915 in Lovell, N. Dakota to James & Floy (Orris) Brady.

He died at his home in Warren, Oregon on October 18, 2008 at the age of 92.

He worked as a farmhand and held numerous labor positions throughout his early years. In 1942 he, his wife Ella and their children moved to Warren, OR. While Ella raised thier 7 children, Les worked as a millwright for the hardboard plant and built two mill complexes wher he also would end up working. He farmed his own property and held many custom farming agreements with local land owners. He purchased equipment and began a very successful excavating and trucking business.

Over the years Les became the go-to guy for local geology, having excavated home and business sites throughout the county. He was also a self taught master mechanic/machinist. It was said that if it needed fixing Les could do it, and usually without charging. He would tell his friends "anything to help out a neighbor, they'll help me someday." He silently kept the wheels of progress moving.

After Ella's passing, he married Marty Jenkins in November of 1977 and immediately added 11 children to his family. After retiring Les & Marty did their share of traveling but stayed anchored to their families and their home in Warren.
