POCATELLO — E. Floyd Peterson, 86, a longtime resident, passed away June 4, 2006, at a local medical center. He was born March 21, 1920, in Lund, Idaho, to Edward and Sarah (Bybee) Peterson.


Floyd served in the Army during World War II. He retired as an insurance agent for railroad insurance. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Third Ward.


He is survived by his longtime friend, Garnetta Peterson; daughters, Kay Taylor and Marsha Lish; the Third Ward high priest quorum, who were his extended family.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanch Peterson.


A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, with Fred Clemons presiding. Military rites will be provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard.


Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., Pocatello.
