Elaine Oakes Morton, 97, of Ogden, Utah passed away on Saturday, October 21 in Bountiful, Utah.

Elaine was born on September 14, 1909 in Hyrum, Utah to Harry Walter Thomas Oakes and Lottie Marie Andersen. Her family later moved to San Diego, California where she graduated from high school.

She later married Jack Morton on May 10, 1956 in Evanston, Wyoming. She worked for many companies including C.C. Anderson, Utah State, as a Deputy Marshall in Nevada, and then for Hill Air Force Base for 15 years.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and later served a mission in North Carolina.

She is survived by her brother Alden (Melba) Oakes of St. George, Utah and her sister-in-law Carol Oakes of Provo, Utah. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Morton and son, Harry Allen Walker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 28 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St, Logan. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family online at Allen Mortuaries.
