Abraham Hampton was born on October 26, 1789 to Jacob Hampton and Eunice Dunham.(1) Abraham Married Rebecca Harlan (1)(2) December 24, 1818 (2) According to (2) they had Children:John (d. 1850)Mary (who married Daniel W. Hiatt)ElwoodAndrewHanna Ann (b. Jan 11, 1825 d. Oct 19, 1899 and who married Samuel Stephenson on Oct. 4, 1849)Margaret (who married Lewis Taylor)Elizabeth (who married Anijah Lupton)JonathanRebecca (Jonathan and Rebecca are said to both be residents of Pilot Grove, Lee Co, Iowa, where the town was moved south to meet the railroad coming west. It is unclear where they are buried, but this researcher wonders if they are buried at Pilot Grove Cemetery which exists within a grove of trees in the middle of a corn field.
