Mary Dircks Jost parents were Johann Peter Dircks and Katharina Backhaus(or Backius), who brought their first 5 children to the USA in 1864. They settled in New Market, MN. where Mary, their 2nd child, married John Jost in 1876. John and Mary are listed in the Cumberland/Landis, NJ 1880 and 1910 census' with their children Peter, Mary, John J., William, Jacob, Constantine, Kate, Thomas and Annie. I have my Dircks GGparents photos of the Jost families taken in the Vineland and Camden areas. A 150 yr. history of St. Nicholas Church in New Market, MN is at the printers and will be available in Dec. 2009. We are still searching for the burial sites and dates of death for Mary and her husband, Jacob John Jost. Any help would be appreciated.
