Eugene G. Cooper, 70, of 1225 Hillcrest Drive, died Saturday at Samaritan Regional Health System in Mansfield.

He was born in Ashland County July 11, 1929, the son of William and Effie Gilbert Cooper.

He was in sales in the building industry. He was a member of Rowsburg Lutheran Church and the Ashland Evening Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Dixie Humrichouser Cooper, to whom he was married June 23, 1951; two sons and daughters-in-law, Garry and Linda Cooper of Lexington and Rollie and Judy Cooper of Ashland; one daughter, Jayne Cooper of Ashland; three grandchildren; his mother of Wooster; and three brothers, Howard Cooper of Millersburg and Dale and Dean Cooper, both of Wooster.

Services will be held at the Rowsburg Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in the Rowsburg Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville from 7 to 9 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland Evening Lions, Rowsburg Lutheran Church or Hospice of North Central Ohio, Inc. 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland.
