Beloved father, William Durward Carter, age 94, passed away on October 7, 1999 in a Ogden Hospital of natural causes.


Born September 27, 1905 in Provo, Utah to William and Rhoana Henrie Carter.


He was raised on a farm on Carterville Road. Married Rebecca Hansen in September 1927; she preceded him in death. Married Gladys Hoskins in July 1969; she also preceded him in death.


Retired as vice president of Trans-America Underwriters. He loved to give and found great happiness in sharing with his family. He always wanted the very best for them! "Rest well, Dad"


Survivors: son, Wayne D. (Gerry), Holladay; grandchildren, Dr. Stephen (Bonnie); Gregory (Vickie); Debra (Kevin) Andersen; Bradley (Donalynn); David (Lisa); Julie (Chip); 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles L. "Pete" (Ruth) Carter; and one sister, June Hayward. Preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.


Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East). Friends may call on Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street (100 East), Murray, Utah.
