DEATH TAKES MRS. LIGE ROBERTS, OF NEAR RALEIGH
Mrs. Emma Roberts, nee Coffee, 74, of Raleigh RFD 1, died at the Lightner hospital of apoplexy, at noon, Wednesday. She was the widow of the late Elias Roberts who died in 1954. The body is in the care of the Turner funeral home of Harrisburg and will be taken to the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Carl Downey at Raleigh to lie in state until the funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by the following children: Mrs. Carl Downey, Mrs. Everett Downey, Mrs. Howard Willard (sic Woolard) of Raleigh and J. W. Roberts of Raleigh; Milton Roberts of Vienna and Marshall Roberts of Carrier Mills; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral, Saturday at 2 p.m. will be held in the Little Church north of Raleigh.
Rev. Nonas Summers will officiate, assisted by the church pastor, Rev Wilson Rister. Burial will be in the Wolf Creek Cemetery.
