Survivors include her husband, W.C. Witherspoon; a daughter, Shana Donyale Laffitte Dates; a son, Cedric LaBarron Davis; six sisters, Joan Coaker, Bettie Thornton, Mary Helen Davis, Janice Hicks, Ethel Reed and Sharon Ankum; and three brothers, James Davis, Nathaniel Davis and Larry Byrd, all of Mobile; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Small's Mortuary on Broad Street, and Saturday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral at Emmanuel Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Burial will follow in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
Richard Wold Sr.Richard Gray Wold Sr., who retired from the local vending industry, died Friday at the family residence. He was 82.
Wold was a lifelong resident of Mobile.
Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Wold of Mobile; one son, Richard G. Wold Jr. of Woodland, Miss.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church on Dauphin Street, with visitation in the parish hall from 1 p.m. until the service time.
