Samuel I. Hite, Old Resident of Ark City Dies.

Samuel Irving Hite, 78, for 13 years a resident of this city, who has been ill for a number of months, died at 7:15 o'clock this morning at the family residence, 517 West Kansas avenue.

The family is quite well known here, and besides the widow, Mrs. India Ellen Hite, three daughters and five sons survive. The children are: Mrs. Charlotte Brock and Mrs. Clyde Lefler, Arkansas City; Mrs. Grace Shreves, Wyoming; Faye Hite, Baxter Springs, Kas.; Ralph Hite, Osawatomie, Kas.; Irl, Mark and Harold Hite, all of this city. Three brothers, William Hite, Altoona, Kas.; Eli Hite, Kansas City, Mo., and Milton Hite, address unknown, also survive.

Funeral services are to be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Grant Funeral Home. E.G. Newfield, first reader for the local Christian Science church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
