1st husband of Anna B. Capper Moore Thompson.

Served in the Civil War as Cook in Co. G, 80th Regt. Ohio Infantry. He enrolled July 7, 1863 at Vicksburg and served in July and August. His name is not on subsequent muster rolls. Under remarks, the muster roll says "contraband", a word that was usually used during the Civil War to mean runaway slaves.
