Prominent Town Centerville Resident's Rites To Be Friday
Gustave Zill, member of the draft board during the World War and for many years a town of Centerville official, died at Timothy suddenly Tuesday morning of heart disease.
Born in the town of Centerville, May 26, 1859, he was united in marriage with Miss Walters in 1884. The couple settled on a farm in the town of Centerville, where they resided until the time of Mrs. Zill's death several years ago.
Deceased was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, and served as town assessor, town treasurer and school director for many years. He was appointed to the draft board during the late war by Governor Phillips.
Survivors include three daughters and four sons. They are Mrs. Louis Vogel of Cleveland, Bruno Zill of Cleveland, Alfred Zill of Timothy, Mrs. William Wagner and Mrs. George Roethel of Cleveland, Harry Zill of Sheboygan and Hilbert Zill, residing on the old homestead in the town Centerville. Eleven grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs.William
Lorfeld of Plymouth and Mrs. Theodore Papitz of Cleveland; and two brothers, Carl Zill of Sturgeon Bay and Louis Zill of Gillett, Wis., also survive.
Funeral services will be held from the late home at 1 p.m. Friday, the Rev. E.R. Krueger of Sheboygan officiating. Interment will be made in the Saxon cemetery.
