James Henry Brown
James Henry Brown, 61, died Oct. 21 in Joplin of a heart attack.
Mr. Brown and his wife, Nora, went to Joplin last week to visit her sister, Mrs. Cora Owens. His death was sudden and unexpected.
The Browns were employed at the Clarence Hart Rest Home, two miles southeast of Houston.
Mr. Brown, son of Frank and Mary Brown, was born Oct. 5, 1892, near Houston. He joined the Missionary Baptist Church at Central Baptist in early life.
He was married to Nora Hall of Tyrone March 22, 1916.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Wallace, of Dyer, Ind.; two daughters. Mrs. Jessie Law of Grogan and Miss Velma Brown of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, two sisters and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Tyrone Friday afternoon by Rev. Earl Sigler. Burial was in the Tyrone cemetery under the direction of Elliott's of Houston.
