Nebraska Edna Pickelsimer (Thomas), age 75, of Fayetteville, Ga., died Friday, March 12. She was raised in Morganton, but was a resident of Fayette County for the last 23 years. She was a member of Fayetteville Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Jackson Picklesimer Sr. and son, Edward Pickelsimer.
She is survived by two sons, Charles J. Pickelsimer of Tulsa, Okla., and Fred J. Pickelsimer Jr. of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Travis Arthur and Vikki and Dale Cooper, all of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Cole of Morganton and Evelyn Yana of Cherry Log; three brothers, Ulas B. Thomas, Fred A. Thomas and Carl J. Thomas, all of Morganton; and sister-in-law, Marie Thomas of Blairsville.
Funeral services were held 3 p.m., March 14 from the Morganton Baptist Church with the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating.
The following served as pallbearers: Bill Thomas, Jerry Thomas, Buddy Thomas, Freddie Thomas, Nelson Thomas, Roger Adams, Tommy Cole and Lonnie Cole. Interment followed at Morganton Baptist Church Cemetery.
