Abraham Miller was born in Shenandoah Co., VA near Moores Store. Christina Arnold was born near Burlington, Mineral Co., W. VA. After the death of Jacob, Abraham's father, Abraham and his wife, Christina, lived on a farm in Augusta Co., VA near Sangerville, VA which had been willed to him by his father, Jacob. It is possible that he and his wife were living on this farm at the time of Jacob's death since Abraham married in 1814 and Jacob was still living at that time.

More information on Abraham and his children can be found in "Abraham Miller, 1788-1847", a brief history by a great-grandson of Abraham, Omega L. Miller. This history was found in the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Historical Society, Dayton, Virginia, and is not dated by the compiler.

Abraham built a house, barn and mill in 1836 and the combination saw and grist mill was operated by four generations until the farm was sold in 1955. The original house was built of logs which were covered by weatherboards when the house was enlarged.
