A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Kenneth Allen Ball.
With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Kenneth Allen Ball, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.
WHEREAS, Kenneth Allen Ball was born on January 26, 1935, a native of Stearns, McCreary County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on February 10, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Allen Ball was the devoted son of the late William Hurstle and Bessie Ross Ball; he was the loving father of a son, Kenneth Allen Ball II of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, and two daughters, Toni Jeanne Carroll of Elsmere and Donna Nicole Wethington Ball of Frankfort; he was the caring and loving brother of Gail S. Roark of Saint George, South Carolina; and he was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Allen Ball was a graduate of Stearns High School; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Allen Ball served his country with pride and distinction in the United States Army; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Allen Ball courageously served the Commonwealth of Kentucky and his community as a law enforcement officer for 42 years, graduating from the Kentucky State Police Academy and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy in Quantico, Virginia, after which time he served as a Trooper with the Kentucky State Police, as well as working with the detective unit of the Frankfort Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Allen Ball was a dedicated employee of the Office of the Attorney General, where he diligently served for 22 years as a Medicaid Fraud Investigator for the Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control Division; and because of his outstanding and distinguished service to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Attorney General honored him with a plaque that retired his investigator badge, Badge # 33; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Allen Ball will be remembered as a highly respected and well-loved member of the Franklin County community and the Commonwealth of Kentucky; and he was the recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky Dental Clinic; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Kenneth Allen Ball has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Kenneth Allen Ball, and extends to his family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.
Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of our native son, Kenneth Allen Ball.
Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Ms. Gail S. Roark, P. O. Box 307, Saint George, South Carolina 29477; to Mr. Kenneth Allen Ball II, 306 South Summer, El Dorado Springs, Missouri 64744; to Ms. Toni Jeanne Carroll, 1722 Choctaw, Elsmere, Kentucky 41018; and to Ms. Donna Nicole Wethington Ball, 1477 Equine Way, Frankfort, Kentucky 40601.
