October 10, 1957

Mrs. W. P. White of Sumner died in a Paris hospital, Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. after illness. The funeral, Thursday at 2 p.m. will be held at Gene Roden and Sons chapel, with interment in Meadowbrook Gardens.

The former Miss Ollie Pearl Floyd, daughter of the late William P. and Mary Ann (Carter) Floyd, Mrs. White was born at Sumner, 20 Jan 1876 [sic] and was a lifelong resident there. She was a Methodist. Her husband died in 1954, survivors being these children: Guy White, Dallas; A.W. White, Emberson, Otis White, Floyd White, Oklahoma City; Ray White, Cleburne; Edgar White, Sacramento, Calif.; Claude White, John White, J.B. White and Miss Lillie White, Sumner, and Mrs. Willie Lassiter, Hurst, besides 29 other descendants.
