Theresa Faye Hensley, 33, of Elkton, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. Mrs. Hensley was born Sept. 16, 1975, in Harrisonburg, and was the daughter of Robert "Butch" Turner of Shenandoah and Roy and Carolyn Monger McDaniel of Elkton.

Theresa was a 1993 graduate of Spotswood High School and had attended the Elkton Mennonite Church in her youth and also the Furnace United Methodist Church. She was a good mother and served as a Girl Scout Troop leader and was active with her children in Girl Scouts and girl's softball. She had been employed by E.A. Breeden.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Jessica Lynn Hensley and Heather Renee Hensley, both of Elkton; her husband, Rodney W. Hensley; three brothers, Calvin W. Turner of Shenandoah, Robert "Butch" Turner Jr. and Richard McDaniel, both of Elkton; three half brothers, Brandon Lam, Jeremy Lam and Chad Lam, all of Shenandoah; one stepbrother, Wayne McDaniel of Shenandoah; half sister, Rhonda Eppard of Shenandoah; four stepsisters, Sharon Taylor of Shenandoah, Rita McCoy of Dayton, Joyce Wright of Singers Glen, Carol Hensley of Elkton; a number of nephews and nieces and lots of special friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with the Rev. Travis Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Elkton. Friends may also call at the home of her parents, Roy and Carolyn, at any time.
